The growing call for African unity, strategic collaboration, diaspora inclusion, and economic transformation will once again take centre stage as the 2026 edition of the Voice Achievers Awards and Business Dialogue gathers distinguished leaders, entrepreneurs, diplomats, innovators, creatives, and professionals in London this August.
Organised by Voice Magazine Netherlands in collaboration with CaterandMerger Consult UK, the annual event continues to evolve into a respected platform for celebrating African heritage, identity, leadership excellence, enterprise, and diaspora contributions across the United Kingdom and Europe.
Scheduled for August 21, 2026, the event is expected to attract policymakers, diplomats, corporate executives, investors, cultural ambassadors, academics, and emerging entrepreneurs from across Africa and the diaspora. The theme emerging around this year’s gathering is both emotional and strategic: “Here we are, use us to make Africa great.”
It is a message that reflects the aspirations of millions of Africans and diaspora professionals who possess the skills, networks, experience, and resources necessary to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s development, but who often seek stronger institutional inclusion, partnerships, and policy engagement.
Africa’s Diaspora: An Untapped Force for Development
Over the years, African diaspora communities in the United Kingdom and Europe have become major contributors to economic growth, cultural diplomacy, trade, education, healthcare, technology transfer, and investment across the African continent.
Beyond remittances, diaspora professionals continue to influence global perceptions of Africa through business leadership, media visibility, innovation, academic excellence, entertainment, and advocacy.
The Voice Achievers Awards and Business Dialogue therefore represents more than a ceremonial gathering. It is increasingly becoming a strategic engagement platform where ideas are exchanged, partnerships are initiated, and African excellence is recognised.
The event seeks to reinforce the proposition that Africa’s development cannot rely solely on governments. Rather, meaningful progress requires collaboration between the public sector, private enterprise, diaspora professionals, development institutions, community organisations, and youth innovators.

Key conversations are likely to include:

The organisers believe that Africa possesses immense human capital, creativity, entrepreneurial energy, and global influence. However, unlocking this potential requires deliberate engagement between governments, businesses, and diaspora communities.
The Need for a New African Narrative
For decades, discussions about Africa have often been dominated by narratives of instability, poverty, conflict, and underdevelopment. Yet events such as the Voice Achievers Awards seek to present a more balanced and forward-looking perspective.
Africa today is home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economies, youngest populations, emerging technology ecosystems, creative industries, and expanding markets. African professionals and entrepreneurs in the diaspora are increasingly shaping conversations in finance, politics, academia, medicine, engineering, technology, arts, and media globally.
The message being echoed by many participants is clear: Africa’s future must be built not only through political promises, but through active participation, strategic investment, institutional accountability, innovation, and collaborative leadership.
A Platform for Hope, Recognition and Opportunity
As anticipation builds toward the August 2026 gathering in London, the Voice Achievers Awards and Business Dialogue is positioning itself as more than an awards ceremony. It is becoming a bridge between continents, between generations, and between aspiration and opportunity.
For many attendees, the event represents a collective declaration that Africans across the world are ready to contribute more meaningfully toward the continent’s transformation.
The voices are indeed crying out loudly:
“Here we are. Use us to make Africa great
