Recognised as the LPSA Nigeria Regional Government Development Champion of the Year 2025
London, United Kingdom — October 2025:
Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, PhD, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nigeria, has been honoured with the prestigious LPSA Nigeria Regional Government Development Champion of the Year 2025 Award at the 10th Anniversary of the London Political Summit and Awards (LPSA) 2025.
The award recognises Dr. Ogbuku’s outstanding contributions to regional development, innovation, and governance in the Niger Delta region, particularly his leadership in promoting sustainable development and inclusive growth initiatives across Nigeria’s oil-producing communities.
The award certificate was presented at the House of Commons, UK Parliament, during the special Parliamentary Session hosted by Hon. Oliver Ryan MP for Burnley and chaired by Prof. Kishan Devani BEM. The award trophy was later presented during the LPSA Awards Gala Dinner in London by The Worshipful Mayor of Islington, Councillor Jason Jackson.
Dr. Ogbuku was ably represented at the events by Dr. Chris Ekam and Dr. Willie Etim Willie, who received the awards on his behalf.
This year’s landmark 10th anniversary of the Summit brought together distinguished leaders and public figures from across Africa and the United Kingdom, celebrating excellence in political leadership, governance, and social impact. Among other notable honourees were:
