Chair of London Political Summit and Awards Prof. Kishan Devani BEM Visits Malawi President

In a momentous occasion for international political engagement, the Chair of the London Political Summit and Awards, Professor Kishan Devani BEM, FRSA, paid a special visit to His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi.

The visit, which comes on the eve of Malawi’s national elections, served as an opportunity to reaffirm the London Political Summit and Awards’ commitment to fostering dialogue, democracy, and good governance across Africa. Professor Devani extended warm support to President Chakwera in his reelection campaign, expressing the Summit’s solidarity with Malawi during this significant democratic process.

President Chakwera, who was honoured as the 2020 Africa President of the Year by the London Political Summit and Awards, has continued to be recognised for his leadership and dedication to democratic principles.

Speaking during the meeting, Professor Devani highlighted the importance of international partnerships in strengthening democratic institutions:
